Processing procedures for applications to ordinary calls.

After submission of the application, a receipt will automatically be sent by email to the applicant confirming that the Carlsberg Foundation has received the application.
Applicants can edit the application until the application deadline.
The application will be available as one PDF file in the application system CF-Grant.
Processing of applications
General
- All applications are treated confidentially
- Applications are reviewed by the foundation secretariat for compliance with the general and specific requirements
- Failure to comply with the general and specific requirements will result in an administrative rejection of the application
Spring Call
Applications for the following funding instruments are assessed by the Board of the Carlsberg Foundation:
- Internationalisation Fellowships
- Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Danish Institute at Athens (when offered)
- Postdoctoral Fellowship at the Danish Institute in Rome (when offered)
The Board of the Carlsberg Foundation makes the final decision on all applications.
Applicants will receive the board’s decision in the form of either a grant letter or a rejection letter by mid-June.
Autumn Call
Applications for the following funding instruments are assessed by the Board of the Carlsberg Foundation
- Internationalisation Fellowships
- Reintegration Fellowships
- Research Infrastructure
- Digital Research Infrastructure
- Field Trips / Research Stays exceeding DKK 100,000
For applications for Monograph Fellowships, the following applies:
- Applications are assessed by an external panel according to criteria set by the Board of the Carlsberg Foundation
- The assessment panel will provide an overall conclusion of the main strengths and weaknesses of the applications
- Applications are subsequently assessed by the Board of the Carlsberg Foundation
The Board of the Carlsberg Foundation makes the final decision on all applications.
Applicants will receive the board’s decision in the form of either a grant letter or a rejection letter by mid-December.
